About Us: Community, Heirloom, Connection
At Olive the Giant, community, heirloom, and connection are more than words—they are the heart of everything we create. Through painting and handcrafted knitwear, we share stories that bring people together, honor traditions, and celebrate the threads that connect us across generations. Our work has been featured in galleries and city halls across New England, reflecting these values in every piece.
When the paintbrush rests, creativity flows through yarn. From whimsical fruit-inspired hats—strawberries, pumpkins, daffodils, and olives—to holiday styles and playful animal beanies, each design is made to spark joy and be cherished year-round. Alongside wearable art, we also offer prints that honor history and deepen community connections.
The name Olive the Giant carries both personal and symbolic meaning. It reflects a love of olives, the fruit itself, and “the giant”—the opposite of an olive’s size—symbolizing a spirit that is bold, joyful, and always larger than life.
